SUCCESSFUL READING Reading Success, Inc. was founded and opened to the public in 2003 by Mr. Jacob Gestetner, after many years of private practice in the field of education. Reading Success, Inc. is an organization dedicated to testing children exhibiting reading difficulties, to determine possible causes, to design plans for remediation and finally to implement them. After many years of testing and tutoring children with different types of reading disorders, it became evident that although help is available for “classified” children, little help exists for “unclassified” children. Most often when a child shows signs of reading problems, he/she will be administered a reading test to determine his/her reading level to prove that indeed a reading problem exists. IQ tests are performed which, in many cases, yield average or above average intelligence. A reading program is then implemented but typically with little results. Parents and educators wonder what is going wrong? What can I do to help my child? Why isn’t the student showing the expected progress? We at Reading Success, Inc. believe that this is happening because testing, although well intentioned, was not aimed to identify the real causes for the reading difficulties. Reading Success, Inc., working with a team of professional evaluators and therapists, has dedicated its resources to address this vital issue. We at Reading Success, Inc. strive to discover the source of the problem and correct it, thus helping the child to become a happy, successful reader. We have devised a special battery of tests designed to get to the root causes of the reading problems among our children who have previously not met with success. In the short time we’ve been implementing these strategies, we have hundreds of success stories. Remember, that when the problem is accurately identified, it can then be strategically attacked and most often remediated.
